What is Computerized Compliance Testing?
Before each treatment a computerized compliance test is performed to determine which areas
of the spine need to be treated and which areas of the spine need to be left alone.
Compliance testing involves the use of a computerized compliance meter to measure the stiffness
or mobility of your spinal joints. Compliance testing allows us to determine which areas of the
spine are not moving properly and where treatment of the spine should be administered. By
performing compliance testing we make sure that only those areas of the spine that are lacking
motion are being treated and those areas of the spine that are moving freely are not being
treated. When compliance testing is done you will feel a light tap or small impulse. The resistance of your spine to this impulse is recorded by a sophisticated computer program which graphs the results on a computer screen. This test allows both the doctor and the patient to monitor the progress and effectiveness of treatment on each visit.
